LD77 – Pliolite Light Texture Coating
LD77 Pliolite Light Texture Coating is a premium quality, long life high build coating formulated for exterior use on cement rendering and concrete surfaces. It provides a self- stabilizing textured matt finish that has excellent adhesion to previously painted and porous surfaces.

On new base coat LD77 Pliolite Light Texture Coating can be applied directly to a suitably prepared substrate. For re-furbishment projects, make good cracks and structural defects and remove any loose flaking and brittle material. If there is evidence of organic growth, power wash to remove & apply Wethertex Fungicidal wash in accordance with instructions. Then ensure that the substrate has been primed or base coated with a suitable product for the substrate type. Beads and expansion joints should be included as required by the substrate and BS standards and carried through all applied materials.
When required apply Wethertex GRC Render as a base coat. Specifications for mixed or unusual substrates are available on request.

LD77 Pliolite Light Texture Coating is supplied ready to use, but may need re-mixing using a suitable paddle mixer to regain correct consistency for application.
Note: LD77 may stiffen on standing. Re-mix the product to regain a workable consistency but do not add more than 5% S62 Diluter.
To avoid dampness and discoloration application should be avoided below DPC or within 150mm of ground level.
Trowel – Apply smoothly and evenly to a thickness of about 1.5 – 2.5mm, with the help of a steel trowel.
To create the texture – Load a lamb’s wool roller generously and apply with minimum pressure in short slow strokes covering small areas at a time. Move the roller from top to bottom, left to right or right to left to create desired effect.
Specification Clauses relating to this product can be found in NBS Section M20 Rendering. BS 5262 Code of Practice for External Rendering and BS 8000-10 must be followed.
When stored unopened in a dry place at temperatures above 5oC, shelf life is 12 months from date of manufacture.
All equipment must be washed with white spirit immediately after use. Waste material should not be emptied into drainage systems.

The weather conditions for application and drying are critical. Do not apply if any of the following conditions are likely to arise during –
or in the first 24 hours following application:
o If frost is forecast, or in excessive wet conditions
o When Relative Humidity is above 95%
o In temperatures below +1ºC or above +25ºC
o If the elevation is in direct sunlight
o If the substrate is hot (at or above 30C) or below +1ºC
o Coverage rates are approx. and do not take into account wastage and uneven substrates
The render must be protected against heavy rain, direct sun or high wind in the first 24 hours after application. Sheeting the façade or the scaffold is advised to protect against this. For this particular product, if these parameters are not met, the product is at risk of, efflorescence and potential failure. It is the responsibility of the application contractor to manage and record the weather conditions during application and curing of the product.
