Monocouche through-coloured renders are named after the French word for “one coating”. They were introduced into the UK to save the Builder/Plasterer time and money when rendering external facades,especially on new build blockwork homes.

Instead of using a two coat application of grey cement render and then painting it, Monocouche is a one coat application of a pigmented white cement render. It is left overnight and the top 3mm of the  surface is then scraped the next day to give a pitted finish in your colour choice.
