The internet is a wonderful research tool but unfortunately unscrupulous competitors or jealous rivals can use its power to spread untrue rumours about any company or individual in a bid to discredit them and try to steal their customers. So for the avoidance of any such dishonest publicity we are happy to display our credentials on line for all to see.

We are the first company within our industry to publicly display proof of our trading history and we invite bitter Never Paint Again type rumour mongers to publicly match our documentation for everyone to see who is the genuine article. The first thing to check with any reputable company is how long they have been legally trading and for proof of what they say.

Wetherby Stone Limited t/a Wethertex was formed in 1975 and 36 years later is still trading under the same name and with the same company number 1227269

Whilst you are doing that also check out Never Paint Again UK Ltd number 07652915 who claim to have been trading since the 1980′s but according to Companies house they did not exist as a legal entity until May of 2011.

These two examples just go to show that you cannot take as genuine what you read on a website or forum.

Four Decades of Excellence

Our company was started in 1975 as a manufacturing , supply and installation company specialising in extreme performance renders and wall coatings.Wethertex is actually the trading name of our company Wetherby Stone Ltd which we took from the name of our market leading render coating “wethertex”.

But such is the stature and reputation of our products that we are known and recognised firstly by our product in much the same way as  Hoover, Biro or Porsche . In fact our bankers accept more cheques made out to Wethertex than they do to Wetherby Stone Ltd !!

Whilst the world has undergone  many changes since 1975 Wetherby Stone are still trading under the same name and registration number as the first day they started. Although we now occupy modern offices and the manufacture of our products is done by Wetherby Stone Products -in the same plant at Wetherby to the same formulae- we take pride in the fact our commitment to meeting the needs of our many customers has never changed.

Professional Accreditations

We did start out purely serving the private home owner market but as time passed and our products received more attention and more acclaim we began to be approached by commercial house builders and local councils to help protect their housing stock.

Being chosen by architects and quantity surveyors confirmed our postion as the leading company in the industry and we now service both sectors of the market.
