Listed Property Gets a “Never Paint Again” Renovation

- 4 September 2019 -

This Grade 2 listed property in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, was in need of some TLC. After being rendered by a specialist contractor, the property required a protective, weatherproof wall coating. The team at Never Paint Again were chosen to apply Wethertex MP44 Pliolite Spray Wall Coating.

Renovating listed buildings requires a sympathetic approach, special care and attention and also full compliance with the relevant conservation organisations involved.

This property in particular required meticulous preparatory works to be carried out in order to fully protect the original Tudor beams which, along with all doors and windows, were sealed and masked off to ensure full protection during application. In accordance with advice from the local authority, a smooth coating was specified, rather than a textured coating.

Our Wethertex MP44 Pliolite Spray Wall Coating was chosen to provide a waterproof, breathable and flexible finish to the property for a lifetime. The waterproofing will protect this listed property from the weather, including wind driven rain. The vapour permeability of the coating means that the property can breathe naturally and the flexibility of this product is especially important for older properties, where a lot of movement can occur within the structure.
